bb.q Chicken Showcases K-Chicken Excellence at The National Franchise Show 2025 Vancouver
Global K-Chicken brand bb.q Chicken participated in The National Franchise Show – Vancouver held on April 5–6 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East, drawing strong attention from local visitors and prospective franchisees. Led by the Canada Strategic Planning Team, the booth aimed to strengthen bb.q Chicken’s brand awareness while expanding franchise opportunities across BC, Alberta, Ontario, and surrounding mid-sized and suburban cities. Visitors were invited to experience the bold flavors that define the brand through on-site food sampling of signature items, including Golden Fried Chicken and Secret Sauce Chicken.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with guests describing the food as “authentic,” “crave-worthy,” and “instantly memorable.” Many visitors expressed genuine interest in the business model, saying the flavor experience alone made them curious about the franchise opportunity.
A significant observation was the demographic of booth visitors, with the majority identifying as Asian. The brand garnered notable attention from attendees of Middle Eastern, Indian, Filipino, and Chinese backgrounds, many of whom inquired about whether bb.q Chicken offers halal chicken options, signaling a potential area for future product consideration.
Over the two-day event, the bb.q Chicken booth welcomed over 300 attendees and collected 22 qualified franchise leads. High-interest regions included South Surrey, Langley, and various suburban areas in BC, highlighting strong potential for expansion beyond major urban centers. Printed materials and booth displays effectively communicated the brand’s positioning and value proposition to a broad audience.
Nearby franchise booths included brands such as Freshslice Pizza, Wings, and vending machine companies. Freshslice, in particular, implemented an aggressive marketing strategy with a “0% royalty fee” pitch. Other booths featured costumed mascots, branded giveaways like tote bags, and live sampling experiences. Based on this observation, bb.q Chicken is considering providing branded merchandise or “ChiBBoQ” mascot appearances at future expos to elevate engagement and enhance brand recall, especially for serious prospective leads.
This expo marked the first time the Canada Strategic Planning Team fully managed booth planning, creative direction, on-site operations, and promotional strategy. The team successfully demonstrated its capability to execute high-impact brand experiences in a trade show environment.
Moving forward, bb.q Chicken Canada plans to follow up with all qualified leads for one-on-one franchise consultations and is actively exploring participation in the upcoming Montreal Expo later this spring.
